Bluff Park Animal Clinic provides the latest veterinary diagnostic technology available, including digital radiography. Digital radiography allows us to examine interior organs and assess the status of injuries or diseases that may be present. It is extremely beneficial in helping our veterinarian diagnose fractures, determine the size and location of tumors or foreign objects that your pet may have swallowed, measure organ size to detect disease, diagnose pneumonia, discover pregnancies, bladder stones, chronic arthritis, and more.

We also have the ability to provide digital dental x-rays that allow our veterinarian to locate potential problem areas. Dental x-rays enable us to identify tooth root changes (like abscesses) and alveolar bone loss, and it gives us the opportunity to discover teeth that are painful or require extraction.

Digital radiography is painless, safe, and non-invasive. It provides clear images of the area of concern quickly and without having numerous retakes which means accurate and efficient patient assessments. It also uses very low doses of radiation making it safe enough for pregnant females and young pets.

Digital radiography differs from traditional x-rays in that images can be visually enhanced, and magnified, to help us speed and focus treatment plans for your pets.
