McKinley Archibald, DVM
Dr. McKinley Archibald joined Bluff Park Animal Clinic in 2026 after earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture and proudly marched in the university’s renowned Maroon Band.
Dr. Archibald’s passion for veterinary medicine began early. She started working in the kennel at Alford Avenue Veterinary Hospital in 2016 and advanced to a veterinary assistant role in 2018, continuing to gain hands-on experience throughout her undergraduate years. She also completed an eight-week preceptorship at Birmingham Animal Hospital & Resort, further developing her clinical skills and knowledge.
Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and small ruminant medicine. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care and enjoys building lasting relationships with both pets and their families.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Archibald is an active member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoys attending Solidcore classes, golfing with her husband, Ben, and spending time reading. At home, she and Ben share their lives with an orange cat named Cheezit.
A fun fact about Dr. Archibald: she is a talented musician who plays the piano, French horn, and ukulele.
